Naturopathic Doctors: The
Naturopathic Doctors at Lakeside Natural Health Centre graduated
from the four year program at the Canadian College of Naturopathic
Medicine (CCNM) in Toronto following their undergraduate
university studies. To assist the healing of a patient’s
mind, body and spirit, the naturopaths utilize a variety
of treatment modalities including: clinical nutrition, botanicals,
TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine), acupuncture, homeopathy,
counseling, I.V. therapy, stress management techniques, soft
tissue manipulation, and fitness instruction.

Kate
Morrison ND, is a practicing Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine who specializes in holistic health care for the whole family. A member of the Ontario Association of Naturopathic Doctors (OAND) and the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors (CAND), Dr. Morrison grew up in the Port Credit area and is pleased to return to practice and support the community in achieving health and wellness.
Known for her kind manner and approachable attitude, Dr. Morrison is passionate about guiding patients towards optimal health and uses nutrition, botanicals, acupuncture, homeopathy, Bowen Technique as well as vitamins and minerals in designing individualized treatment options for her clients. She has a special interest in detoxification, digestive function, counselling, in addition to stress and pain management.
Kate’s passions outside of Lakeside include spending time with her husband and two children, gardening, travelling and spinning.

Jessica
Liu ND is a Board-certified Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine, practicing general family naturopathic medicine since 2006 with a special interest in women’s health, children’s medicine, fertility, and pregnancy. Her interest in women's reproductive health came about after her own reproductive health challenges were remarkably improved with the help of natural medicines. Dr. Liu's compassionate and gentle approach to helping people feel better has made her a well-loved practitioner among the patients in her care.
Dr. Liu is an active member of the Ontario and Canadian Associations of Naturopathic Medicine, and the Pediatric Association of Naturopathic Physicians. Balancing her work in private practice, she also serves on the Board of the Association of Perinatal Naturopathic Doctors, which fosters excellence in the care of expectant mothers and their babies. She also volunteers her time as a Board Examiner for ND graduate licensing board examinations. Dr. Liu draws from an eclectic knowledge of naturopathic modalities to tailor to the specific needs of each individual patient. She utilizes a unique bio-energetic assessment technique to help identify underlying causes of disease and to select the gentlest and most effective remedies when treating her patients. Dr. Liu holds additional training in intravenous vitamin therapy, acupuncture, Auricular Bioenergetic Medicine, Bowen and Reiki Therapy, and frequently attends births as an experienced professional birth doula. She has been invited as a regular speaker at the Ontario Early Years Centre, the Running Room and has appeared as a guest speaker on "Health Matters" on Rogers Cable 10. Besides her passion for naturopathic medicine, she is thoroughly enjoying her time as a new mother to a very busy baby boy!

Jen Newell is a Naturopathic physician with a special interest in dermatology, food sensitivities, detoxification, anti-aging medicine and optimal aging, mental health and chronic illness support. Jen has additional training to provide anti-aging facial rejuvenation acupuncture and topical therapies in order to help people look and feel their best through every phase of life. She is passionate about helping people navigate the challenges of food allergies and sensitivities.
As a naturopathic physician, Jen is dedicated to promoting sustainable health for the individual, the community, and the planet. She provides effective, appropriate, and gentle health care utilizing naturopathic therapies to encourage the body’s innate ability to heal. At the same time, she is committed to educating her patients so they can make informed health decisions.
In addition to her passion for health care, Jen finds great fulfillment spending time outside with her dog and family, exercising, playing ultimate Frisbee and cooking up new allergy friendly recipes.

Lydia Henry is an Osteopathic Manual Practitioner and a Certified Athletic Therapist since 1996. She has been the Head Athletic Therapist at the Humber College Sports Injuries Clinic since October 2003 until this year when she resigned from her position to open her own practice. Lydia practices in Mississauga as well as Etobicoke.
Lydia was a member of the Canadian Health Care Team for the Francophone Games in 2001. She has worked with several local high school teams and several private clinics. She was assistant Athletic Therapist at the University of Ottawa and Head Athletic Therapist at Loyalist College for a number of years. Lydia also taught a Sports Injuries class in Humber's Fitness and Health Promotion Program and was a guest lecturer at high schools, Running Room Clinics and other sports establishments. She is a member of the Ontario Association of Osteopaths and both the Canadian and Ontario Athletic Therapist Association. »Top |

Diana Poirier is a holistic nutritionist & health consultant, helping clients improve their health and wellbeing through nutrition and lifestyle changes. Diana’s philosophy is to help clients “learn to live life with health… one step at a time”.
Diana provides guidance in all areas of nutrition & health, including diet changes for chronic health conditions, nutrition for weight loss or gain, stress reducing techniques, increased activity & fitness, improved digestion, food shopping, cooking & recipe searching. Diana helps people understand what their body needs to be healthy. She explains things – how the body works, what it needs in terms of nutrition, rest, exercise, etc. and how diet & lifestyle can make dramatic differences with our health. She provides clients with specific recommendations tailored to their needs, then follows up with continuous coaching & support in the form that works best for that client.
In addition to providing nutrition & health services, Diana is also a reiki practitioner. Reiki originates from Japan, and is an energy-based healing technique involving light touch. Working as a support mechanism to the body, Reiki re-establishes a normal energy flow of ki (life force energy) throughout the body, which in turn can enhance and accelerate the body's innate healing ability. Reiki can be extremely beneficial with chronic stress & anxiety, fatigue, chronic pain including headaches & arthritis, emotional issues, sleep disturbances, energy imbalances and more.

Elissa Geib RMT is a practicing member of the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario and a graduate from the D'arcy Lane Institute of Massage Therapy in London, Ontario. Elissa grew up across the world in Hong Kong and is excited to be living and working permanently in Canada, and to help each of her clients achieve a pain-free and a less stressful lifestyle through the practice of massage therapy.
Elissa is a very energetic, positive and outgoing person and is passionate about spreading the word about massage therapy. Through the use of specialized techniques she will be able to help treat and rehabilitate a variety of conditions such as tension headaches, fibromyalgia, overuse injuries, digestive issues, aches and pains and almost any soft tissue sports injury. Elissa also uses homecare regimes such as stretching and strengthening programs to help each client continue to recover between treatments.
Outside of her practice Elissa is passionate about biking, playing board games, sightseeing and visiting her two sisters in Toronto and Belleville whenever she can.
