What
conditions/diseases can benefit from Naturopathic Medicine?
Naturopathic Medicine can work for anyone.
Naturopathic Doctors treat the whole person: physical, mental,
emotional and spiritual. With this approach in mind, we begin
with a comprehensive assessment of every patient. This information
helps us to determine and naturally treat the root cause
(instead of just the symptoms) of the imbalances in each
patient. Ideally, healthy people seek Naturopathic Medicine
before they develop a condition/disease. One of the core
principles of Naturopathic Medicine is prevention.

What
is Osteopathy?
Osteopathy is a treatment philosophy which identifies areas of the body that are restricted or constricted, then eases these restrictions so that normal function can resume.
DEFINITION:
Osteopathy applies the knowledge of the structure (anatomy) and function (physiology) of the body, to all diseases, disorders and dysfunctions. The tools osteopaths use are their hands. Osteopathic manual practitioners use a gentle “hands-on” or “manual” approach, applied through osteopathic philosophy, to identify the causative factor of the problem and restore order to all of the systems.
Osteopathic manual practitioners use their palpatory skill to seek out areas of the body that are restricted (not moving normally) or constricted (strangled or squeezed). These areas can be in any of these systems:
• musculoskeletal
• respiratory
• cardiovascular
• digestive
• reproductive
• nervous
Osteopathic manual practitioners seek to identify and then gently ease the restrictions or constrictions so the body can function normally again.

What is Reiki?
Reiki originates from Japan, and is an energy-based healing technique involving light touch. Working as a support mechanism to the body, Reiki re-establishes a normal energy flow of ki (life force energy) throughout the body, which in turn can enhance and accelerate the body's innate healing ability.
Reiki is a terrific stress reducer, both physically and emotionally. It can also be extremely beneficial with chronic stress & anxiety, fatigue, chronic pain including headaches & arthritis, emotional issues, sleep disturbances, fibromyalgia, energy imbalances and more. Reiki never contradicts another therapy, and only supports the body in self-healing and improving overall wellbeing.

What can I expect during a Reiki session?
During a reiki session, the client lies on the massage table in a quiet, restful atmosphere. The reiki practitioner (Diana) then places her hands on various “energy” junctures throughout the body. If the sense of touch is not comfortable, the practitioner can hold her hands just above the body with the same results.
The experience is usually deeply relaxing and clients often feel warmth or tingling radiating through their body. At the end of the session clients often describe a sense of “balance” and “calmness” resulting from the improved balance flow. Aches and pains diminish, feelings of stress are significantly reduced, sleep is greatly improved – various results occur depending on what the client’s body is experiencing at the time.
